This is one of the best movies I have watched in recent times and I was completely impressed by the way Director Selvaraghavan had come up with the entire movie. Yes, the movie has its own flaws. and Yes, you can draw similarities to a few Hollywood movies. But, can there ever be a flawless movie? It is quite difficult to find a movie that is unique in its identity. Directors around the world will be inspired by blockbuster movies and screenplays. Mirroring inspirations is not a crime. This book review was written by my wife Sudha, her first venture in the world of review writting… “All the best wifey”!!!
The Review:
We have heard of the “2120” concept… At 2110 F, water is still said to be boiling water, however at 2120 F it converts into steam and has enough power to run even big ships. Just that one degree increase has given water that potential and power.
Is this not what happens to most of us? Some of us do so much of hard work but are rarely recognized. But there a few who do very little but are tagged with all praises. These are the Smart workers of the world as we hard workers have to learn to become the Smart workers!!! Let me stay clear, I am not saying that smart workers are not hardworkers but just that they have learnt the art of ensuring that their work gets noticed.
There are so many times that we have run so much in life to get something but drop the effort unable to bear the grind. The heat and pain gets on to us forcing us off track and off the battle field. The winners in life are not people who are dreamt long, but the ones who were able to hold onto that dream long enough. The winners are people who had it in them to walk that one extra mile to achieve their goals. Winners are the ones who moved from 211 to 212. This is the secret that “Arindam Chaudhuri” writes in his book “Discover the Diamond in You”. Read the rest of this entry »

After a long break, I am back into writing. Well for no apparent reason, my blogging went to a standstill. I too did not do a lot of introspection for the reason, until recently when my wife as to why I had QUIT blogging… It was then did I sit back and think. Did I quit blogging? The obvious answer was No. Then why? It is then I realized that my cycle of interest runs that way. When I pick up a new toy, it goes on pretty fast until I discover something newer. I keep the old toy away and start with the new one until something else replaces that. But this is no toy that I had dropped. It was a part of my life, a place where I could share all that I felt about me, my life. A place where I could share what I felt about the people I come across and how they impacted me. This was ME… How could I have abandoned me? and so I am back again into the blogging circuit…
I am promising myself that I would write at least twice a week. Topics no bar, contents no bar… it would all about things as I see t hem. My perspectives and my perceptions!!!
I am glad that I am taking this decision for I am sure that this would be yet another jolly ride in my Life…

I am from India and honestly knew nothing about Big Brother or Jade Goody until her racism row with Shilpa Shetty. At that point of time I think I hated her for her racist comments. Today, I write this tribute to the same woman, I write this with a heavy heart, a heart filled with pain. I do not know Jade Goody personally, I have not met her or for a fact even been close to the country where she lived, but it feels like I have lost someone close to heart. It feels like someone who you have known all your life has gone away. I think that is the charisma that Jade carried. In spite of all her flaws in her professional and personal life, she has ended up touching many lives. She has won the hearts of many; many of them are like me, people who have just read her story.
My prayers are with Jade’s family.
Jackiey (Jade’s mom), you gave us an angel to look up to. Words cannot express how you feel, for to rise a child and to see it die is the hardest thing in life. Fate has been cruel to you and I hope you see joy in being a part of your grandchildren’s lives.
Freddie & Bobby (Jade’s sons), nothing that I say could lessen the pain you feel today. As time goes on, the pain will ease, but always remember your mother, for she will be the shining star you find in the sky looking over you all your life…
Jack (Jade’s husband), you had a choice when Jade was diagnosed with Cancer and you chose to be with her till the end. We are proud of you for that. You are a brave man and a lovely human being.
Jade…
You have touched many lives in the past few months through your brave fight. You have always been a star… even when you fell; you went like a falling star blazing away across the sky…
You have been a part of our lives in the past few months and will continue to be a part of our memories in the years to come.
Good bye Jade… Rest in Peace!!!

Surprisingly, I was not shocked when I heard that the Srilankan cricket team was under terrorist attack last morning. Don’t take me wrong, I was definitely concerned over the well being of those cricketers but somehow, did not feel shocked when I heard the turn of events. What more can you expect in a country that by all means has literally gone to dogs. A country that promoted terrorism as a way of life is now being bitten by its own snake. It is being torn to pieces by a devil that it groomed. Indeed it is true… “What goes around, comes around…”
Today, they are at the edge beyond which there is no path for return. For a fact, many believe that they have already crossed the point of no return. They are now forced to eat the rotten fruits of a tree they sowed years ago. This incident will give those who sit in Pakistan and still claim that they have nothing to do with terrorism, a rude jolt. I just hope that they swallow their pride, look at what is in their backyard and clean the mess that is stinking beyond tolerable limits.
I pray for the souls of the brave and innocent people who lost their lives in this crossfire. May their souls rest in peace!!!

This is a beautiful forward that I received from a friend a couple of days ago. It truly gave a new perspective to the following question, “Why do we shout in anger?”
An enlightening piece of information!!! I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Here it is, as from the forward…
A saint asked his disciples, “Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?” Read the rest of this entry »

Yoga, this mystic word seems to simply spell bound every individual who wants to do something about his mind and body. I am no different. I have been having the urge to take this up as a quest for better attainment for many months now. In my search for the best road, I came across many, few of which were as weak as a Chennai road which erodes away in one downpour. There were also a few which seem to be as high as the mighty Himalayas, demanding not just time and effort, but also a lot of determination and guts to reach the peak. They all had a lot of glamour, but not the radiance I was looking for. Then, I came across a path, a path in which many seemed to have travelled and reached the places they wished to go. I hoped that this would lead me to my goal. I had heard about it many a times, but never gave it a second thought until I saw the man behind the show on Televison program. His answers to the questions on life and spiritualism seem to be simple at the outset, but it carried so much inner meaning. It is this simplicity that was giving power to the mysteries it held. It seemed to have a charm that enticed the onlooker into its realm. That day, I decided to learn Isha Yoga and understand the teachings of the Sadguru. Since I am calling this as my quest in the world of Yoga, I have chosen to call this post as my experiment rather than my experience. Read the rest of this entry »

I have not seen Taxi no. 9211 and so this review would not hold any comparisons drawn between the original and the remake. TN-07-AL-4777 is the remake version of Taxi no. 9211 in Tamil.
Pasupathy, Simran, Ajmal and Meenaskshi are the main cast in the movie with Vijay Antony hitting the music scores and Laxmikanthan, the director. My wife and I went to this movie simply because we are huge fans, me of Pasupathy and my wife of Simran. The movie did not disappoint us in terms of entertainment in any ways. I am sure most of us would remember Jade Goody from Big Brother when she had the racial row with Shipa Shetty. That was the first time I heard about her. After a few days of eventful readings about the issue, I had completely forgotten about her existence. Until two weeks ago, I did not even give her a moment, but now after reading the articles about her, she does not seem to go out of my thoughts and I inadvertently seem to pray for this brave girl every time I read a post about her.
